Reflecting….54
It’s my birthday and a pizza in jammies with my puppy sounds like a blissful evening. I’d invite Ro Ro the cat but that might just be beneath him. I am taking some time to reflect on a few of the lessons I have learned over these 54 years. While I am primarily sharing them with Hudson the eager puppy because he is literally “all ears”.... I thought I would share them with you as well.
Declare your love, whatever what happens next, you were courageous
Everyone is made in Gods image, they just have a different purpose than you
Mankind has made life cluttered and complicated. Simplify
Quiet is good... be quiet
Evil empowers good
“I can’t do it” has never proven to be true, usually you can, just breathe
Broken is temporary
Sleep
Empathy needs recharge, give yourself a moment
Grace is a bitch to truly embody
Food heals
Kisses are powerful
Truly loving will require letting go at some point. Maybe sooner, maybe later.... and it sucks. But Oh what a time!
Know that someone is proud of you
Listen to your inner voice... it is right
Be yourself
Be tender
Most things are subjective. Your answer is equally right in a different circumstance
Gratitude breeds presence in the moment
Love unconditionally and forgive relentlessly. The landscape may change but you might find a beautiful humanity in that moment
Self discovery never stops. Each decade brings a new more refined you
Have a sense of humor for fucks sake, especially with yourself
Travel
Eat the chocolate cake for breakfast
If something kind crosses your mind say it out loud. It might make someone’s day
The common denominator may just be you....
The “why” will reveal itself
Don’t be afraid of death, it stops you from living
Flowers are Gods jewelry.
There is power in a great pair of shoes. You never know where they will take you.
Notice where you are and marvel at it.
Do not discount the kind words of another. They see you clearly.
